Entertainment Weekly Gets Weaker as the Weeks Go By

Image
The internet has taken the media world by storm. Publications that solely relied on selling prints have slowly been moving towards releasing stories online. Despite this new approach, some magazines and newspapers have managed to hold onto their physical sales as well as publishing stories on their own website. One company that has failed to fo that is Entertainment Weekly, which stopped printing in 2022, now only releasing online. Entertainment Weekly is an American entertainment magazine that covers film, television, music, Broadway theatre, books, and everything popular culture. It debuted in 1990 and published weekly until 2019, when they began releasing monthly. I recently acquired a printed issue from November 14, 1997 (because it featured Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt on the cover and I really liked them in I Know What You Did Last Summer). When looking through this and then looking through the website, it's almost like night and day. A scanned version of th...

Alice in Borderland: How does it reflect on culture today?

One of my favorite ongoing series is "Alice in Borderland". It's not even in English, but somehow I'm able to enjoy it so much more than american shows. I originally watched the show in 2024 after seeing people compare it to another foreign show I watched the year before, "All of Us Are Dead". Both are apocalyptic thriller series on Netflix but they are drastically different and from two different countries. However, the leader of this place, The Hatter, is killed and his partner takes...

Hey hey! My name is Ethan Zehr. I've been acting and making films since 2018, although I didn't start making more professional looking films until 2021. It's been something I'm passionate about forever. I acted in theater all through middle school and high school, acting in two plays per year except for 8th grade. This all led up to me directing a middle school production when I was a senior in high school. In 2020, when the lockdown started, everyone who had any interest in acting moved to remote voice acting. I did too, borrowing my sister's microphone. I started auditioning for tons of projects, but my first role was one I simply asked if I could play. It was the lead role in the video game Life of a Yandere Simp , a parody game that released on Steam, December 24th 2020. As I went into my first year of high school, I started acting in plays again while still auditioning for different voice over roles. At the tail end of 2021, I started an English dub mod for a g...
